MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING COURSE

COURSE 1 - INITIAL TRAINING

COURSE 2 - REFRESHER TRAINING

Manual Handling accidents are one of the most common causes of injury at work causing over a third of all workplace injuries each year. It is estimated that in excess of 500,000 people in Great Britain suffer from a musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) predominantly affecting the upper limbs or neck that was caused, or made worse, by their current or past employment.

As there are many potential hazardous manual handling tasks within every organisation, Merlin Supply Chain Solutions have developed a Manual Handling Training course to provide delegates with the ability to become manual handling operators within their own workplace. The course provides the necessary information and training for organisations to understand more about the risks associated with manual handling.

The course is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of staff from those with obvious work related handling tasks through to sales and office staff who may have much less manual handling involved in their work related activities. All are vulnerable to injuries (whether at work or at home) caused through bad lifting, pushing and pulling activities. Everyone can benefit from the "knowledge of good technique”.
