CAT C+E (ARTIC) LICENCE

APPRENTICESHIP IN CONJUNCTION WITH HULL COLLEGE UK (HCUK)

Fully-funded Level 2 QCF Driver Development Programme - Learn how to drive an articulated vehicle with Merlin Academy in conjunction with Hull College UK (HCUK).

HOW IT WORKS
The fully-funded course combines practical, on the job training in Category C combined with a study programme. You will be employed and paid by Merlin Academy for the duration of your 1-year course and work alongside experienced staff gaining job-specific skills. On successful completion of the course you gain your CAT C+E licence.

The work-based programme is undertaken at Merlin training suites in Kettering, Luton or Chichester. The programme includes five mandatory modules, four optional modules plus functional learning skills including English and Maths.

Candidates must hold a full Category B (car) licence and be above the minimum required 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit to qualify for training. Consideration may be given to applicants without a full CAT B licence, subject to interview.

INDIVIDUAL TRAINING PLAN
All candidates will undergo a diagnostic assessment to determine if they are suitable for the job role and the business of logistics. The purpose of a diagnostic assessment is to identify prior learning and experience and to tailor the apprentice's individual learning plan. The purpose is not to screen out applicants. Merlin Academy and HCUK will identify the candidate's learning and support needs then reflect these in the individual learning plan while recognising prior qualifications and experience.
